I paint “anonymous human bodies” that contain neither story nor emotion.
With minimal lines, broad margins, and partial depictions,
I create “vessels of nothingness” that connect with the viewer’s sensibility.
The reason I depict nudity is that I believe it keeps the painting from becoming dated.
The color of the skin is freely chosen—this freedom is the true pleasure of painting.
What I create now is an act born from the child I once was,
who believed that, like baking cookies, a human could be made as long as there were ingredients and a recipe.
私は物語や感情も含まない「匿名の人体」を描いています。
最小限の線、広い余白、部分的な描写。
